How to break out of the Y2K rut and get
into the Y2J explosion!
Y2K=Year 2000 (K stands for thousand)
Y2J=Year 2 Jesus
Everyone is saying prepare for the year 2000
I say prepare to give the Year 2000 to Jesus
Love Him all through the year
Live for Him all through the year
Dedicate your life for Him all through the
year
Christ could come at any minute! Are
you ready to give an account to God for your life?
Are you 100 % for sure that your family is
saved by the blood of Jesus?
Are their any hidden secret sins that you
are still active in that you would not want to be caught doing when
Christ comes?
If you want to turn your life around for the
Year 2000 to Jesus then let me give you some of the ground rules:
Intro: Deut. 11:2 Just
knowing that the eyes of the Lord will be on us from the beginning until
the end
Mark 10:46-52
So how do you break out of the old year rut
and get ready for a new year to be lived for Jesus Christ?
1. Assume responsibility for your
own life. ( Mark 10:47)
"and when he heard that it was Jesus of
Nazareth he began to cry out"
We need to cry out to God about our
lifestyles, our sins, etc..... We need to identify the areas that
are not up to God's standards in our lives - be willing to repent! make
things right!
2. Believe you can change with
God's help ( V51 )
"Lord, that I might
receive my sight"
We have to see things Gods was in order to
change the things that are wrong
We have to see our sins as just that SIN
We have to see others the way God sees them
ETC.....
3. Clarify what you really need.
(vs..51)
"What wilt thou that I should do to Thee?"
Until you define it, you can not solve it.
If you have a jealously problem, you have to see the jealously as a
problem before you can solve it. If you have a anger
problem, you have to see the anger and identify it before you can solve
it. ETC>........
4. Stop worrying about what other people
will say (vs.. 48)
" Many charged him that he should hold
his peace"
Paul said, "Do I seek to please men or
God, I seek to please God"
The world will always point their fingers of criticism at you when you try because they are unwilling to try themselves, so rather than point fingers at themselves in order to build themselves up, they will point fingers at you in order to tear you down to there level.
POINT: Say this out loud over and over ----
I HAVE A RIGHT TO BE HAPPY & WITH GODS HELP I WILL BE
NO ONE CAN TAKE THAT FROM ME UNLESS I LET THEM! AND I REFUSE TO LET THEM. I WILL NOT DEPEND ON YOU TO MAKE ME HAPPY, BUT I WILL ALLOW YOU TO MAKE ME HAPPIER. For if I depend on you to make me happy then I can only be happy when you let me be. SO, I CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY NO MATTER WHAT!
5. Stop waiting for Ideal circumstances.
( VS.. 46, 49)
"As he went out ...... a great number of people ......) If you are waiting for everything to be perfect then you will be waiting for a lifetime. Life is never perfect, and many times throws everyone a curve.
So make your move now!
YOU CAN NOT CHANGE THE PAST ---- BUT YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR TOMORROW BY THE ACTIONS YOU APPLY TODAY!
So get off you duff and do something --
anything in order to make your life better!
You say, I am so lonely, then get out of the
house, go to where people are and talk to someone.
Who knows they might even talk back WOW !
Bible says if you want to have friends you
must first show yourself friendly!!!!!!!!!
You say, I don't have a JOB then get
off your duff and realize you do have a JOB .
Your job is to find a job so you clock in at
8 am and you apply for jobs until 12 noon. Take a lunch break and go
back to work looking for JOB until 5 PM Before
long you will have a PAYING JOB!!!!!!!
Your marriage stinks ------- treat
your mate like you use to when you were dating, ask her out, go parking,
get romantic - who knows you might find that SECOND HONEYMOON after all
!!!!!!!!
6. Do something bold and dramatic
(vs.. 50)
"And he, casting away his garment
...."
HE LOOKED BEYOND his handicap --- his faults
---
HE APPLIED ACTION to his desire to change
the present
HE DID NOT depend on someone else to do this for him IT WAS HIS LIFE and HE was the one who had to change it no one could do that for him.
7. Don't sit there and make excuses
---------GET UP AND DO IT NOW ( V. 50)
"And he .... came to Jesus"
Don't wait, your future depends on it.
Lost, get saved
Saved, serve God
Backslidden, Just get it right & do
right
BIBLE SAYS: "NOW IS THE
ACCEPTED TIME"
Decide to have the greatest year of your
life in 2000 and give you life ALL TO JESUS
